I have a hp c4500 connect via wireless to my compaq. printer was showing/working fine till got a power failure, rebooted laptop, turned printer back on, but not showing on my network, ran printer tests, all seems well but can't print as it keeps saying my printer is offline depite it is on/working. For example, with a network named "hope" and a printer named "hp", the network path would be: "\hopehp". if the computer does not have the drivers for the printer, you need to install the drivers either from a drivers disc or from a download on the internet..
Try connecting the printer to your network manually so that the hp installer can find the printer. use the wireless setup wizard if you have a touch or text-based control panel, or try wi-fi protected setup (wps).. Hp photosmart e-all-in-one printer series (b110 and d110) - unable to connect to a wireless network when using wep encryption and shared key authentication issue when you attempt to connect wirelessly to a network with wep encryption and shared key authentication, the product fails to connect.. Have hp laserjet pro p1102w, four desktop computers with connection to wifi through hotspot. can't get the printer to print with wireless. will print with usb just fine..
